Mallard - here to encourage conversations around Mental Health

Prioritising Mental Health in January at CRS Resource Ltd
January can be a challenging time for many. Shorter days, colder weather, and the return to routine after the festive season can take a toll on mental wellbeing. At CRS, we recognise that mental health is just as important as physical safety and supporting it is essential to keeping our workforce, clients, and communities moving forward. We believe that a healthy workforce starts with open conversations. Whether you're on-site, at home or in the office, your mental health and wellbeing matters.
January: A time to check in
January is a natural time to pause and reset. It’s an opportunity to check in with ourselves and with each other. Whether it’s managing stress, adjusting to new routines, or simply navigating the winter months, small steps can make a big difference.
Some simple ways to support mental wellbeing include:
Taking regular breaks and using rest time effectivelyStaying connected with colleagues, friends, and familyMaintaining healthy sleep and exercise routinesSpeaking up when things feel overwhelming
Mallard the Duck
Today, January 13th is National Rubber Ducky Day, this day holds significance to CRS as we have our very own duck – Mallard. Mallard’s purpose is to encourage conversations surrounding mental health.
At CRS, we are committed to promoting positive mental health and reducing stigma.
This month, we’re encouraging everyone to start a conversation. Ask a mate how they’re really doing. Take a moment to share how you’re feeling. And if you need help, reach out – to a friend, a manager, a mental health professional, or any of the resources we have available. We’re stronger together. Let’s build a culture where talking about mental health is just a part of the job.
Moving Forward Together
As we begin 2026, let’s make mental wellbeing a shared priority by looking out for one another and creating a positive and supportive workplace culture.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please seek support. Together, we can keep the conversation going, not just in January, but all year round.
