An Intro from John Cheeseman, Managing Director
As we approach March, it’s inspiring to see the positive momentum building across the business. We’re beginning to experience a real uplift in new opportunities, and our teams have been working with incredible focus and commitment on a strong flow of tender activity. This renewed pace is a direct reflection of the hard work and belief that our teams bring to what we do.
I’m also delighted to share that we’ve formed two exciting new partnerships that strengthen our capabilities and broaden the solutions we can offer our clients. These collaborations mark an important step forward as we continue to grow with confidence and purpose. We’ll keep you updated on these partnerships as they develop.
Another highlight this month is the launch of our new website, now fully live at www.crs-resource.co.uk. It’s a fresh, modern showcase of who we are and where we’re heading - please do take a moment to explore it.
Alongside this, we’ve made a significant investment in a brand‑new CRS commercial vehicle fleet, currently rolling out across the business. This upgrade will support our teams on the ground and help us deliver an even higher standard of service to our valued clients
As I close out I wanted to say a big thanks to our site based and back office teams for the professionalism and positivity they all continue to bring. The progress we’re seeing is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what we’ll achieve together in the months ahead.
Exciting new additions to our CRS commercial fleet of vehicles
We’re excited to announce great additions to our commercial fleet in the rollout of 26 brand-new CRS Resource branded vehicles. This is a major investment that strengthens our service capability and raises the bar for how we operate on the road.
Each new vehicle comes fully equipped with Lightfoot technology - an award‑winning driver‑focused telematics system that provides real‑time coaching, encourages safer and smoother driving and helps reduce our carbon footprint. Smarter journeys mean a more efficient fleet, improved safety, and a greener way of working.
This investment gives CRS greater control over our operations, enhanced reliability for our clients, and a fresh, modern look that proudly represents our brand wherever we go. You’ll be seeing a lot more of these vehicles out and about — and trust us, they stand out!
A stronger fleet. A greener future. A better experience for our clients and our people. This is another exciting step forward for CRS.
Keep an eye out for these new vehicles - we’re only just getting started.

Pancake Day at CRS
On Tuesday 17th we celebrated Shrove Tuesday or better known to many of us as Pancake Day, and what better way to mark the occasion than with a well-deserved treat for the office-based team. The office was filled with the irresistible aroma of freshly made pancakes as our wonderful chef Michelle fired up the pan and cooked up some delicious pancakes for everyone, ensuring everyone could enjoy this much-loved tradition.
Adding an extra special touch to the day, Michelle even added our company logo to her apron just for the occasion!
Moments like this highlight to us how important it is to pause, connect as a team and enjoy simple traditions. We’d like to say a big thank you to Michelle for making Pancake Day such a memorable (and tasty) experience, the morning was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Employee of the Month
This month we celebrate Donna Wealands as our Employee of the Month.
Donna has been chosen for her consistently outstanding attitude and dedication to her role. This has been shown recently with her proactive attitude towards putting in place an internal system for the pay & charge process within the finance department. Donna put a lot of work into this process, without ask and really thought of everything.
Her dedication, kindness and genuine commitment to doing a great job doesn’t just make our days easier, but they make our workplace better.
We’re incredibly grateful for everything she brings to the team, and this recognition is a small reflection of the big impact she has. Her positive energy and commitment make a real difference, and this reflects the high regard in which she is held across the organisation. Donna truly embodies the spirit of our team, and that’s why recognising her as February’s Worker of the Month feels so well deserved.
Introducing - Michael O'Connell
We are delighted to welcome Michael O'Connell to the CRS team as our Regional Director for Ireland, marking an exciting and significant step forward in the company's growth.
Ireland represents one of the most compelling infrastructure investment landscapes in Europe right now. With MetroLink, Dublin's first metro system moving toward construction, the transformative DART+ programme expanding the rail network to over 150km across four corridors, and major investment in Cork's commuter rail network, the pipeline of work is substantial, sustained, and perfectly aligned with everything CRS Resource does best. Ireland is not an opportunistic move for us, it is a considered, well-researched strategic expansion into a market where we know our expertise in delivering skilled rail and infrastructure professionals will be genuinely valued.
Michael joins us to lead that effort on the ground. His background and rail sector experience make him ideally suited to build the relationships and reputation that CRS Resource has always been built on. He shares the values that have defined CRS since 2008, quality over volume, relationships over transactions, and a genuine commitment to leaving every programme stronger than we found it.
Ireland is a new chapter for CRS Resource, and Michael is the right person to write it. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome to the team.
